Youch! The deck was still wet, this afternoon, as I grabbed my cobalt-blue glass hummingbird feeder and headed down the steps to place it in a new location. Oh! I went flying down those steps and landed right on my tail. I caught myself with my left arm, saving the hummingbird feeder. Unfortunately, I didn't save me! Tomorrow, I'm sure I'll feel it. My shoulder already feels like someone's holding me hostage!
I've been slipping, tripping and falling since I was little. I'd get my shoes caught in my "elephant" leg, cuffed pants, or they'd trip me up going down the shag-carpeted stairs. I've even turned my ankle while wearing a pair of those adorable wedgies. All this in the name of fashion!
Today's little stunt had nothing to do with fashion, just an old pair of flip-flops that tripped me up! Remind me next time I want to play in the water on the deck to wear something "fashionable". If I'm going to fall, I'd at least like to look good doing it!
Happy Memorial Day if you're in the U.S.A!
